摘要：The invention provides a method for acoustically and optically characterizing animmersed object of interest by generating a serial plurality of acoustic and opticalillumination pulses through a liquid. In addition to the spectral analyses/imaging ofobjects/environment made possible by the white-light illumination, a target material canbe ablated, generating an ionized plume to spectrally identify the target's constituentatoms.
