My Amazing Summer Plans

This summer is going to be the best summer ever! I have so many fun things planned that I can hardly wait for school to be over. My parents told me to start making a list of all the things I want to do, so here it is:

First, I really want to go camping with my family. We went camping a couple of years ago and had a total blast! We stayed in a tent in the forest and cooked hot dogs and s'mores over the campfire. My little brother got too close to the fire and singed his eyebrows a little bit, but it was still funny. I love being outdoors and listening to all the nature sounds at night. The crickets and frogs make such a racket! This time, I'm going to try and catch a fish in the lake. I've been practicing my casting in the backyard. Another thing I really want to do is go to the beach. The ocean is my favorite place in the whole world. I love swimming in the waves and building sandcastles. Last year, my dad helped me bury my brother up to his neck in the sand – he wasn't too happy

about that! I'm also a pro at finding cool seashells. My collection is getting pretty big. This year, I'm hoping we can go mini-golfing too since there's a really fun course right by the beach.

Speaking of mini-golf, I definitely want to go to the

amusement park this summer as well. The roller coasters are my favorite rides, but they also have a lot of other awesome ones. I'm a little scared of the Tilt-A-Whirl because it makes me so dizzy, but I'll probably still go on it. I love winning stuffed animals and eating cotton candy and funnel cakes too. Yum!

In between all the traveling, I'm planning to have lots of fun right here at home too. I'll probably have some friends over for sleepovers and movie nights. We can roast marshmallows in the backyard firepit and put on some spooky ghost stories. During the day, we can run through the sprinklers to cool off and have water balloon fights. Oh, and I can't forget about the annual 4th of July parade either! My friend's mom makes the best star-spangled Rice Krispie treats.

My cousins are coming to visit for a week in late July too. That's always a crazy good time! We have been planning to put on a talent show for our parents and grandparents. I'm going to juggle and my cousin Amber is going to do some magic tricks.

My other cousin Liam is a great singer, so he's handling the musical part. We're still working out the details, but it's going to be epic!

Towards the end of the summer, my family is planning a big road trip out west. We're going to drive all the way to the Grand Canyon! Can you believe I've never seen it before? I've studied it in school, and the pictures look amazing. I can't wait to see it in person and hike down into it a little ways. Maybe we'll even get to ride mules part of the way! On the way, we'll get to stop at other cool places too like the Petrified Forest and the Painted Desert. I've never been camping in a real desert before. After the Grand Canyon, we'll visit Las Vegas. I'm a little confused about what makes it such a popular place for adults – isn't it just a bunch of bright lights and casinos? I guess we'll find out! At least there's an amazing water park there that I'm dying to go to. My brother is pretty bummed that we won't be able to see any shows since most of them aren't meant for kids. He really wanted to see a magic show, but my parents said maybe next time when we're older.

Wow, after writing all of that out, I realize I have a jam-packed summer ahead! I'll need to rest up for sure so I'm ready for all the adventures and activities. As sad as I'll be when

summer break is over, at least I'll have tons of stories and memories to share with my classmates. This is definitely going to be a summer I never forget!

My Super Awesome Summer Vacation Plans

Yay! School is finally over, and summer vacation has begun! No more waking up early, no more homework, and no more listening to teachers drone on and on. For the next two months, I get to do whatever I want, whenever I want. Well, not exactly, but you get the idea. This summer is going to be the best ever! The first thing on my summer agenda is to sleep in every single day. No more of that dreadful 6:30 am alarm clock blaring in my ear. I plan to stay in my cozy bed until at least 10 am every morning. Maybe even 11 am if I'm feeling really lazy. After all, what's the point of summer vacation if you can't enjoy some well-deserved rest and relaxation?

Once I've had my fill of sleeping in, I'll probably head to the kitchen and make myself a big stack of pancakes or waffles. I might even add some chocolate chips or whipped cream on top if I'm feeling extra indulgent. My mom always says breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but during the school year, I

never have time to eat a proper breakfast. This summer, I'm going to make up for all those missed breakfasts!

After stuffing my face with a delicious breakfast, I'll probably plop myself down on the couch and play video games for a few hours. I've been dying to beat that new Super Smash Bros. game, and with no school to worry about, I can finally focus all my energy on becoming a video game master. My mom might try to kick me off the couch at some point, but I'll just give her my best puppy dog eyes, and she'll cave in like she always does. Once I've had my fill of video games, I'll probably head outside and play with my friends. We live in a pretty cool neighborhood with lots of kids our age, so there's always someone around to hang out with. We might play some basketball, go for a bike ride, or just goof around in the park. If it's a really hot day, we'll probably end up having a water balloon fight or running through the sprinklers to cool off.

But the best part of my summer vacation plans is the trip my family is taking to Disney World! We've been saving up for this trip for over a year, and I can hardly contain my excitement. I've never been to Disney World before, but I've heard so many amazing things about it. There are roller coasters, shows, parades, and, of course, all my favorite Disney characters. I can't

wait to meet Mickey Mouse, ride Space Mountain, and eat as many churros as my stomach can handle.

We're going to be at Disney World for an entire week, which means we'll have plenty of time to explore all four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. I've already made a list of all the rides and attractions I want to experience, and let's just say it's a very long list. My parents might have to drag me kicking and screaming out of the park when it's time to go home.

Wherever we end up going, I'm sure it will be an adventure. My family has a knack for getting lost, taking unexpected detours, and finding ourselves in the most peculiar situations. Like that one time we ended up in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere, and the only place to eat was a diner run by a friendly but slightly eccentric old couple. Or the time our car broke down, and we had to spend the night in a haunted-looking motel straight out of a horror movie. Those are the kinds of memories that make road trips so memorable and fun.

But even with the occasional boredom and family bickering, I know this summer is going to be one for the books. I'll get to sleep in, eat junk food, play video games, hang out with my friends, go on exciting adventures, and make all sorts of

wonderful memories. By the time August rolls around, I'll be so refreshed and recharged that I might actually be looking forward to going back to school. Okay, maybe that's a stretch, but at least I'll have some amazing stories to share with my classmates. So here's to the summer of 2023 – may it be filled with laughter, adventure, and enough fun to last me until next year's vacation!

My Super Awesome Summer Vacation Plans

Summer vacation is finally here! No more school, no more homework, no more waking up super early. Just fun, fun, and more fun for the next few months. I've been dreaming about my summer plans since winter and I can't wait to tell you all about them. Get ready, because it's going to be the most awesome summer ever!

First up, my family and I are going to Disneyland! My little sister has never been and I can't wait to see the look on her face when we enter the park and she sees Cinderella's castle for the first time. We're going to go on all the rides - the teacups, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain. I'm a little scared of the big roller coasters but my dad says I'm finally tall enough this year to go

on them. We're packing our bathing suits too so we can spend a whole day at the waterpark doing the lazy river and going down the huge waterslides.

After Disneyland, we're heading to the beach for a week. We're renting a beach house right on the sand in Santa Monica. I love the beach so much! I can't wait to build the most epic sandcastle ever with my cousins. We're going to bury my uncle in the sand too and try to make him look like a mermaid. That will be so funny! And of course I'll be spending tons of time in the ocean swimming, catching waves, and looking for seashells and sand dollars. My family loves beach volleyball too so we'll set up a net and play some games. The only bad part is having to put on sunscreen a million times because my mom is crazy about not getting sunburned.

In the middle of summer, my best friend Jessica is coming with us on a road trip up the California coast. We're going to stop at all the best beaches - Malibu, Pismo Beach, Monterey, Santa Cruz. I've never been to any of those places before! We'll be camping most nights but staying in a hotel or two as a treat. Jessica and I can't wait to roast s'mores over the campfire every single night. I hope we see lots of cute animals too like deer, raccoons, and dolphins if we're lucky. We're bringing our bikes

so we can ride on all the boardwalks and bike trails. This road trip is going to be so epic!

After that, it will be time for sleepaway camp! I've been going to Camp Winacka in the mountains every summer since I was 7. It's a camp just for girls with horseback riding, archery, canoeing, arts and crafts, and my favorite - telling ghost stories around the campfire at night. Sleepaway camp is the best because you get to be away from your parents for two whole weeks! No one to tell you to clean your room or eat your veggies. Jessica is coming to camp with me which makes it even more fun. We're going to request to be in the same cabin together so we can stay up late whispering and giggling. I'm a little nervous about the rock climbing wall this year but I think I'll give it a try. As long as I don't get homesick, summer camp is going to rock! The last big summer event is my birthday! I'll be turning 11 which means I'm finally going to be a tween. For my birthday, my parents are taking me and three friends to an amusement park for the whole day. We're going to go crazy on the spinning rides and rollercoasters until we barf (hopefully not actually though). Then they're letting me have a sleepover birthday party. We'll stay up as late as we want watching movies, doing makeovers,

eating tons of junk food, and hopefully pranking my little brother if he falls asleep first. Birthdays are just the best!

That's my summer in a nutshell - Disneyland, the beach, a California road trip, sleepaway camp, and an amusement park birthday party! I honestly can't decide what I'm most excited about. It's going to be two and a half months of nothing but fun, adventure, and making a million summer memories with my favorite people in the world. School year, you don't even stand a chance against how incredible this summer is going to be. Let the summer of fun begin!

My Super Fun Summer Vacation Plans!

This summer is going to be the best one ever! I have so many exciting plans and places I want to go. Mom and Dad said I can make a list of all the fun things I want to do, and then we'll figure out which ones we can actually make happen. I'm hoping we can do everything on my list because it's going to be an epic summer!

First up, I really want to go camping. We haven't gone camping as a family in a few years. I love sleeping in a tent, making s'mores over the campfire, and going on long hikes to

see cool trees, rocks, and maybe even some wildlife! There's a great campground not too far from our house at the state park. We went there when I was littler. I remember catching tadpoles in the creek and watching them turn into frogs. This time, I'll be big enough to go canoeing and fishing with Dad!

Next on my summer fun list is visiting a waterpark. There's a huge one about an hour away that has awesome waterslides, a lazy river, and several different pools. One even has a treehouse and these water cannons you can shoot at people floating by on tubes! I've been watching videos of it online and it looks like a blast. Waterparks are the best for cooling off on those super hot summer days. I hope we get to spend at least one full day there this year.

Another place I really want to go is the science museum downtown. They just opened a new dinosaur exhibit with life-size animatronic dinosaurs that move and make sounds! How cool is that? I love dinosaurs and learning about when they roamed the earth millions of years ago. Maybe I'll even get to dig for fossils there. The museum also has an amazing planetarium where you can see the planets, stars, and galaxies up close on the big domed ceiling. I've been a few times before but they're

always updating the shows with new discoveries. I'll never get tired of learning about space!

For the fourth week of summer, I'm really hoping we can go to the beach! We went two summers ago and had the best time. I want to go again and build a huge sandcastle, jump waves, look for seashells, and maybe take a surfing lesson this time since I'm older. We have family that lives near the beach, so we may be able to stay with them for a few days. That would be awesome! I'll pack my boogie board, beach toys, and plenty of sunscreen. A beach vacation is definitely a must this year.

If we have any other days at the end of summer before school starts, I'd love to go strawberry picking at that local farm. They have fields and fields of ripe, juicy strawberries that you can pick yourself. We went last year and I had a blast finding all the biggest, ripest strawberries. We took home tons and Mom made strawberry smoothies, strawberry shortcake, and froze some for later. Strawberry season only comes once a year, so we have to take advantage of it! Maybe this year we can go blackberry picking too.

Those are the top five things on my summer bucket list - camping, waterpark, science museum, beach vacation, and fruit picking. I really hope my parents can make most of them happen!

If not, I know we'll still find lots of other fun things to do over the break. Maybe we can take a weekend road trip, have backyard campouts and movie nights, or go for walks and play at different parks and playgrounds all around our city. No matter what we end up doing, I'm just excited to have three months off from school to relax, be outside as much as possible, and spend quality time with my family. This is going to be an awesome summer!

My Super Exciting Summer Vacation Plans!

Summer is finally here! No more waking up early for school or doing piles of homework. For the next few months, I get to sleep in, play outside all day, and go on fun adventures. This summer is going to be the best one yet because my family has awesome plans!

First up, we're going camping in the mountains for a whole week! I can't wait to go hiking, make s'mores over the campfire, and sleep in our big tent. My dad says we might even see some bears or other cool wildlife. As long as they stay far away, that would be so neat to see animals in their natural habitat. We're

also going to rent a canoe and paddle around the lake. I really hope I don't fall in the cold water!

After our camping trip, we're headed to the beach for a few days. Building sandcastles, splashing in the ocean waves, and looking for seashells are definitely on my to-do list. My little brother wants to learn how to surf, so we're going to take a lesson from a surf instructor. I think surfing looks really hard, but I'm willing to give it a try. Even if I fall off a million times, at least it will be fun! We're also going on a cruise to look for whales and dolphins. I'll make sure to bring my camera to try and get some good pictures.

The last big adventure will be a road trip to the Grand Canyon. Just thinking about how massive and deep it is makes my mind spin! We have to hike a little way into the canyon, but my parents say the views are totally worth it. I'll get to check another national park off my list. On the drive there and back, we're going to stop at some Route 66 diners and gift shops. My mom is obsessed with taking cheesy roadside pictures, but I won't complain too much since she's an awesome mom.

When I'm not going on exciting trips, I'm going to spend a ton of time at the pool and the playground near my house. I'm going to challenge my friends to lacrosse competitions and we'll

see who is the master of the sport. I also really want to have a huge backyard camping sleepover and catch lightning bugs at night. Oh, and no summer is complete without stretching out on the lawn to watch the fireworks on the 4th of July!

This summer is packed with so many fun activities and adventures. Part of me wishes it could last forever so I wouldn't have to go back to school. But I know vacations have to end eventually. I'll just have to soak up every minute of swimming, traveling, and lounging around. Countdown to summer fun is on!

My Summer Vacation Plans

Hi there! I'm so excited because summer vacation is just around the corner. School will be out in a few weeks, and I can't wait! I've been thinking a lot about what I want to do during my time off, and I have some really fun plans.

First of all, my family and I are going to take a road trip! We're going to drive down to Florida to visit my aunt, uncle, and cousins. We'll stay with them for a week at their house near the beach. I love the ocean, so I'm really looking forward to spending time at the beach and swimming in the warm water. My aunt said she's going to teach me how to snorkel, which sounds super cool.

I can't wait to see all the colorful fish and other creatures under the sea!

While we're in Florida, we're also going to visit some theme parks. My parents promised to take me to Disney World, and I'm sooooo excited about that! I've always wanted to go there and see all the famous Disney characters, ride the thrilling roller coasters, and watch the spectacular fireworks shows. We're also going to Universal Studios, where I can't wait to explore the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Maybe I'll even get my own wand!

After our week in Florida, we'll start driving back home, but we're going to make a few stops along the way. One place I really want to visit is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I love being outdoors and going on hikes, and the Smokies are supposed to have some of the most beautiful trails in the country. We might even spot some bears or other wildlife! I'm also hoping we can stop in Nashville so I can see the Grand Ole Opry and learn more about country music.

Once we get back home, my summer fun won't be over yet. My best friend Emma and I have made plans to start our own little business. We're going to set up a lemonade stand in our neighborhood and try to earn some money. We've already made

flyers to advertise our lemonade, and we're going to make different flavors like strawberry, blueberry, and maybe even Arnold Palmer (half lemonade, half iced tea). Emma's mom said she'll help us bake some cookies and other treats to sell at our stand too. We're hoping to make enough money to go to the water park at the end of the summer!

I'm also signed up for a few summer camps this year. For two weeks, I'll be going to soccer camp to work on my skills and hopefully score lots of goals. Then I have a week of art camp, where I'll get to paint, draw, sculpt with clay, and do all sorts of creative projects. I've also enrolled in a coding camp so I can learn more about computer programming. Who knows, maybe I'll create the next popular app or video game!

In between all of these fun activities, I'm sure I'll have plenty of downtime to just relax, read books, play outside, and hang out with my friends. We're planning lots of sleepovers, backyard campouts, and movie nights. I might even finally beat that super hard level on my favorite video game that I've been stuck on forever!

Summer is going to be jam-packed with excitement, adventure, and making amazing memories. Part of me will miss going to school and seeing my teachers and classmates every

day. But mostly I'm just bouncing with joy thinking about all the wonderful things I'll get to experience over the next few months. This is going to be the best summer ever!
