定义：
用来表示说的话不是事实，而是一种 愿望，建议，假设的语气叫虚拟语气 虚拟语气分为两大类：
1. （Should ）+ 动词原形
①第一种情况
一个 “坚持” ; insist ,两个 “命令” ;order, command,三个 “建议” ; advise, suggest, propose,四个 “要求” demand , require, request, ask
He insisted that I (should)be present.
注意: suggest 作\"显示,表明,说明\作\"坚持说,坚持认为\"时,从句不用虚拟语气,而用陈述语气。如:
His pale face suggests that he is ill.(表明)
He insisted that he was right, and so he insisted that his plan be carried out at once.(坚持)
② 第二种情况：
It is necessary /strange / possible important /natural+ that + 句子（should）+动词原形
It is important that he ( should ) master a foreign language.
It is strange that she (should) refuse to come to the party.
It’s necessary that we should study hard.
. 虚拟语气用于表语从句或同位语从句
advice, idea, order, demand, plan, proposal, suggestion, request等名词后的表语从句和同位语从句中用虚拟语气,谓语动词用\"(should)+ 动词原形\"。如:
His suggestion that we (should) go fishing is wonderful.(同位语从句)
My idea is that we (should) get more people to attend the conference.(表语从句)
2. 时态往前推一格：
一般现在时 → 一般过去时
一般过去时 → 过去完成时(had done)
一般将来时 → 过去将来时(would等)
可以细分为六种情况：① 第一种情况I wish that + 句子（时态往前推一格）
I wish I were a bird. （现在）
I wish I hadn’t made such a mistake. （过去）
We wish our parents wouldn’t punish us. （将来）
② 第二种情况:
If +动词过去式, could/should/might/would+V.（原）
If + had +V-ed, could/should/might/would+have done
If +should＋V原形 /were to＋V原形/ 情态动词+V原形
If I were you, I could/should/might/would take a book.
If it were to rain tomorrow, the football match would be put off.(说话人认为明天下雨的可能性很小)
注意： 在if虚拟条件从句中,如果从句的谓语动词含有were, had, should,可将之提至句首,将连词if省去,从而构成倒装句型。如:
Should it rain tomorrow (= If it should rain tomorrow), I would not go to Beijing.
③ 第三种情况:
as if /though + 句子“好像” （时态往前推一格）
He looks as if he were drunk.
They talked as if they had been friends for years.
④第四种情况:
It is (about/high) time + 句子“是该做某事的时候” It is high time that you went.
It is high time something was done about it.
⑤第五种情况:
If only + 句子 “要是…就好了” （时态往前推一格）
If only I knew his name!现在的虚拟
If only we had followed your advice!过去的虚拟
If only I would see him again!将来的虚拟
（时态往前推一格）
⑥第六种情况:
Would rather + 句子“宁愿…” （时态往前推一格）
I would rather you paid me now. 现在的虚拟
I would rather you had gone, too. 过去的虚拟
Don’t come. I would rather you would come tomorrow. 将来的虚拟
⑦第七种特殊情况:
1.without
2. but for “要不是”
3. Otherwise “否则”
Without sunlight, people’s life would be different today.
But for water, it would be impossible to live in the desert.
